BERLIN.- The police German arrested an alleged stalker Taylor Swift On the night of this Wednesday – July 17 – before the first concert in Germany from the tour Eras Tour by the American singer.

“The man, a 34-year-old American, was arrested on Wednesday evening and will remain in custody until Saturday inclusive, in order to avoid any danger,” the police in Gelsenkirchen, western Germany, said in a statement today.

The suspect was identified by police after threatening the singer and her boyfriend Travis Kelce on social media, authorities added.

“As initial investigations could not completely rule out the possibility of a danger, the suspect was identified and arrested at the entrance checkpoint before the concert, for which he had a ticket,” police said.

Around 60,000 people attended the first of three concerts at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen on Wednesday as part of Swift’s European tour.

Since his debut with Taylor Swift (2006), the then emerging country star has become the biggest figure in international pop, with 110 million monthly listeners on Spotify (compared to 70 for Beyoncé or Dua Lipa).
