Thank God nothing happened to Mr. Trump

New Yorkers are hailing the attack on Donald Trump as a horrific event, while Mayor Eric Adams says gun violence is not acceptable in the country.

“It’s horrible what happened… we have had the left pushing Donald Trump for three years, trying to arrest him, to put him in jail, it’s incredible, we Hispanics are for Donald Trump. We are going to make you president again,” said David Rem.

“People are like that, how can they do that to someone who is playing for president,” said Guadalupe Garzón.

“Very bad, because look what happened at a rally, that could happen at something else, something worse could happen, but thank God nothing happened to Mr. Trump and he should keep going,” said Lydia Estrella.

During a rally in Pennsylvania, Donald Trump was shot in the right ear while addressing thousands of participants.

Initially, there was confusion about what was happening, but Secret Service agents acted quickly and removed the presidential candidate from the scene. Hours later, it emerged that the suspect in the shooting had been shot dead by the Secret Service.

The FBI is continuing to investigate this case as an attempted assassination of former President and current presidential candidate Donald Trump. One rally participant was killed and at least two others were injured during the attack.

The FBI identified the shooting suspect as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks.

Some Trump supporters waved flags in front of the tower in support of the candidate.

“Because he is a person who can win and he is always fighting for everyone, not for himself, but for the world,” Jaime Acevedo said.

Meanwhile, Mayor Eric Adams condemned the incident and said gun violence is not acceptable in the country.

“The worst thing that could happen is that we stop the progress we make as a country, if any of the candidates stops moving towards the elections then it sends a message from those who want to harm our way of life, the best thing we can do is show that we are resilient as we did on 9/11.”

The founder of the Life Camp organization that fights against gun violence says the attack shows that violence is out of control across the country.

We have to come together as a city and as citizens of this nation and stop the hate, said Erica Ford.

Donald Trump’s campaign group has opened a GoFundMe account to raise money for the families of the shooting victims.

The FBI is continuing its investigation in coordination with federal, local and state partners in the face of this situation, which has classified the incident as an assassination attempt against Donald Trump and is asking participants in Saturday’s rally to give their statements about what they saw.
