The hard story of Baéz Sosa’s mother at the end of the first day: "they are not sorry"

The mother of Fernando Báez Sosa, the young man beaten to death by a group of rugby players at the exit of a Villa Gesell nightclub in the early morning of January 18, 2020, testified in the trial that began this Monday in the presence of the eight accused in the crime.

Upon leaving the Dolores courts, the parents of Fernando Báez Sosa and one of his lawyers, Fernando Burlando, stated that they felt “satisfied” with the start of the trial and appreciated the signs of support they receive from society.

“We are going to continue fighting,” said Silvino, the victim’s father, after leaving the judicial building with his wife Graciela.

“With Silvino we lived through an ordeal. No father deserves what they did to Fernando,” said the woman, excited, and when speaking of the accused in the murder of her son, she added: “I felt as a mother that they were not sorry. No I see them repentant.”
