The Maserhallen in Borlänge is closed after a suspected fall of bathhouse feet

– We don’t know how extensive this is. We have learned that a woman suffered from so-called bathhouse feet and we therefore choose to close down, says Anette Norén, site manager at Maserhallen, to SVT Dalarna.

The municipality’s environmental and health protection has been contacted and sampling will take place. The facility is keeping the adventure pool, swimming pool, shower and changing room closed until further notice.

– We take the safe before the unsafe, says Jörgen Olsson, CEO of Maserhallen

More cases in Dalarna in a short time

In recent months, suspected cases of bathhouse feet have caused closures in various parts of Dalarna.

In December Experium in Sälen was closed down after a suspected case and in January it was closed the newly built bathhouse at Lugnet in Falun down for the same reason. As recently as last week, there were reports of another suspected case in Sälen, but the facility was not closed at that time.
