The ruling maintains that both the parent and her partner “understood the conduct they carried out” and that they ended the life of Lucio Dupuy and, According to psychiatric experts, Páez “has clear notions about good and bad, fair and unfair.”while Espósito Valenti “does not present signs or symptoms of any psychotic pathology”, therefore both “understand the criminality of their acts and can direct their actions”.
The three judges came to the conclusion that “Life imprisonment is sufficiently representative of the very serious injustice committed by the defendants”.
