Matamoros, Tamaulipas.- Two State Guard agents were left with gunshot wounds after being ambushed and attacked by gunmen aboard trucks in Matamoros, Public Security sources reported.
The event was recorded in downtown streets, by the exit to Reynosa.
After the attack, two agents suffered gunshot wounds to the buttocks and clavicle, while the unit was left with broken windows and damage to the bodywork.
Ambulances assisted the elements and transferred them to the Guadalupe Hospital to provide them with medical attention. In the afternoon they were reported out of danger and stable.
The corporations deployed a search operation for the attackers.
According to the reports, the crew members of a white Escala van and a black Raptor would have shot at the police officers.
