Juarez City.- A total of 220 years in prison was the sentence handed down against Josué Alfonso MR, alias “El Moreno”, for his responsibility in the murder of eight people committed in Ciudad Juárez, the State Attorney General’s Office announced.

In a press release issued by the Prosecutor’s Office, it details that during the Oral Trial hearing, the Public Ministry agent presented conclusive evidence of the defendant’s participation in the death of the victims, all members of a family.

The Prosecution Court found him guilty for the events recorded on November 17, 2013, inside a home located at the intersection of Plan de Ayala and Luciano Becerra streets in the Morelos Zaragoza neighborhood.

In the place, the lifeless bodies of five women were located, two of them minors and three men, one minor, all with multiple injuries produced with a knife.

In the investigation of the criminal facts, on March 4, 2021, elements of the State Investigation Agency managed to capture the now sentenced man and fill out an arrest warrant.
