Police are investigating his death, which has been ruled a homicide.
The medical examiner said Williams died after being shot in the head.
Her body was dumped on the sidewalk inside a bag in the Kips Bay neighborhood.
Meanwhile, authorities are investigating whether the man seen in these images being escorted out of a building could have been involved in her death.
An angry mob descended on the building on Monday.
The identity of the suspect has not been released and no charges have yet been filed against him.
Nicole Williams, the victim’s mother, wants justice for the death of her daughter, who she said dreamed of becoming a lawyer.
Authorities responded to a call yesterday afternoon reporting a person with a gun at 27th Street and Second Avenue, less than a block away from where Williams’ body was found.
