Venezuelan athletes vote from Paris

Although millions of Venezuelans Outside their country, it was impossible for them to register to vote in the elections presidential elections, several athletes were able to exercise their right to vote from Paris in the Olympic Games.

Led by two-time gold medalist Yulimar Rojas, a group of Venezuelan athletes cast their vote in the French capital.

The information was released through the social media account X of the Minister of People’s Power for Youth and Sports, Mervin Maldonado.

“Our athlete Yulimar Rojas has already voted,” she said.

Meanwhile, on the X account of the Venezuelan Olympic Committee (COV), photographs of the champion accompanied by all the athletes participating in said Olympics were shown: “Our delegation exercising its right to vote in Paris!”

The Venezuelan embassy in France set up a table to allow Venezuelans to vote. However, as in other countries, the number of people is limited, due to the few registered voters that each office allowed.

This Sunday, more than 21 million Venezuelans are called to the polls, of which almost 300,000 are eligible to vote abroad.
