Nicolas Cozza has joined VfL Wolfsburg with immediate effect. The 24-year-old left-back has signed a contract with Lower Saxony until 2027. According to reports, VfL will pay HSC Montpellier a transfer fee of EUR 500,000.
Cozza’s contract with the Ligue 1 club, whose shirt he has worn for over 12 years, would have expired in the summer. In Wolfsburg, the left foot, which can also be used in the center of defence, takes the place of Jérôme Roussillon (30), who has switched to Union Berlin.
“Nicolas is a player who has made great progress in recent years. He brings a good basic tactical understanding and stands for a high footballing quality, which he constantly calls off despite his young age. We are looking forward to a versatile and capable player who will enrich our team.”according to VfL sports director Marcel Schäfer.
