A man is arrested after stealing a car with a baby inside

A man is arrested after a car was stolen with a one-year-old baby in the back seat.

According to police, the robbery happened around 9 a.m. Tuesday, outside a preschool on 134th Street in Harlem.

Officers were able to track the vehicle through the mother’s phone, which was inside the car.

He was found at 76th Street and Second Avenue on the Upper East Side.

The girl was not injured and is now back with her mother.

This follows a similar unrelated incident that happened Sunday in the Bronx.

Police have a 30-year-old suspect in custody for the theft of a minivan that had been left running in Mott Haven with a six-month-old baby inside.

Officers recovered the truck and the baby in Hunts Point.

On this occasion, the child was not injured either.
