Totally relaxed and casual, two celebrities boot together through Los Angeles International Airport. On closer inspection, however, one is quite surprised. Is this an ex-Hollywood couple flying back together?
The two are actor Sean Penn (62) and his ex-wife Robin Wright (56). The two have not been seen together in public for years, until now.

Sean and Robin once shared a very big on-off love.
After Penn divorced his first wife, pop star Madonna (64, married four years) in 1989, he began dating actress Robin Wright (California Clan, Forrest Gump, House of Cards). The two fell head over heels and had two children (son Hopper, 29 and daughter Dylan, 31). They then separated (1995), reunited and swore eternal love when they married in 1996.
Sean and Robin made love and bickered, and even held hands on the red carpet. They were married for 14 years (1996 to 2010)
But their relationship was not easy. They couldn’t really get along, but they couldn’t live without each other either. Sean and Robin broke up from time to time, but then always got back together.
They tried to get a divorce twice (December 2007 and April 2009), but then decided against it again and again – until Robin Wright pulled the ripcord in the summer of 2009. Then she was finally fed up with the eternal love back and forth, so she submitted the divorce papers after all. The divorce was officially finalized in July 2010.
Sean Penn and Robin Wright also did a few films together. Here they can be seen in the joint drama “Alles aus Liebe” (1997).
And what is now? In the meantime, both had other partners – and are now both single again!
Sean has been divorced from actress Leila George (30) since April 2022, to whom he has been married since 2020. And Robin filed for divorce from her third husband Clément Giraudet (38, married since 2018) last September.
Seeing the two together so wonderfully again 13 years after their divorce makes their fans gasp. Because how is it called? Old love never rusts.
But is that the case with Sean Penn and Robin Wright and are the signs pointing to a love comeback? Only the two of them know that (for now). Or maybe they are just two ex-partners and parents who now get along very well again or are working on a new project together? That would be nice too.
