The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is one of the most acclaimed and sold video games of recent years, a game that hides many secrets, easter eggs and curiosities to be discovered even almost eight years after its launch. Here are five trivia about The Witcher 3 that we think you don’t know yet…
Geralt of Rivia… or maybe not?
The name Geralt of Rivia would suggest the city of origin of the Strigo, but in reality it is not so and Geralt was not born in Rivia but in the kingdom of Kaedwen. However, it is true that Geralt settled in Rivia from a very young age and learned the local accent, adopting the name of Geralt Roger Eric du Haute-Bellegarde.
The ghost ship
It is one of the most famous The Witcher 3 easter eggs ever, let’s talk about the ghost ship that appears in Skellige, near Hindarsfjall and An Skellig islands. This blue-colored boat appears every night at precisely one o’clock, it is not possible to interact in any way with the boat and a few seconds after its appearance, it mysteriously disappears.
How long does it take to go around the whole map?
How big is the Witcher map? It is immense and measures approximately 144 square kilometreswe are talking about a map 35 times larger than that of The Witcher 2 Assassin’s of Kings and 20% larger than that of Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. 
Ideally, it takes about 40 minutes to cover it all on horseback.
The hidden photo of the development team
Curious easter egg hidden in The Witcher 3 Blood & Wine, on the top of Mount Gorgone it is possible to find a painting between two columns which actually depicts a photo of members of the CD Projekt RED development teamthe entire staff of The Witcher 3 in a handful of colored pixels, a tribute to the artists and programmers who brought to life one of the most loved games ever.
How old is Geralt?
It’s a recurring question, but know that Geralt of Rivia is not very young, despite his athletic and agile physique and very clear mind, the Strigo is close to 100 years old. 
Although his age has never been disclosed, from a dialogue with Vesemir we understand that Geralt “it’s not too far from his 100th birthday“, ideally at the start of The Witcher 3, Geralt should be around 90 years old.
