A Chinese policeman poses as a food delivery man to save a suicidal young man

Beijing, Aug 8 (EFE).- A Chinese police officer who disguised himself as a food delivery man after a delivery platform received a suicide note attached to an order has been praised for perhaps having prevented the death of a young man, local media reported. .

“This will be my last meal, and I want it to be abundant,” said a note attached to a food delivery order at the end of July, which indicated the rooftop of a residential building in the eastern province of Shandong as the delivery location.

The delivery man immediately alerted the Police, who formulated a plan to try to prevent the man from going ahead with his plans, the specialized publication Legal Daily recently reported.

A 24-year-old policeman, Wen Jialin, put on his delivery uniform and helmet and delivered the order to the indicated address.

The customer called to inquire about his order, and Wen continued to play the part of the delivery man.

Arriving on the roof, the man picked up his food, whereupon Wen quickly hugged him and took him to a safe area on the ground floor while comforting him, he picked up the middle.

“Don’t be afraid. Let’s talk together about what worries you,” he told the young man.

Local police later discovered that the 18-year-old had had a dispute with his parents that had led him to contemplate suicide and ask for the “last supper”.

The social networks of the Asian country praised the policeman and the delivery man for his ingenuity and his quick action.

Specialists point out that deaths by suicide never have a single trigger, but are the result of psychological, biological and social factors that have treatment. People with suicidal behavior and their relatives have at their disposal health services and emergency telephone numbers where they can receive help. EFE
