The Virginia State Police, United States, has arrested a man who, after colliding with several vehicles with two different trucks, has fled by stealing an ambulance that had come to treat the injured in one of the accidents.
At 3:40 p.m. (local time) this Saturday, the Police responded to a crash between two vehicles in which the truck that had caused the accident had fled and was stolen, as reported by this body on its Twitter account. Facebook.
Just a minute later there was a multi-vehicle crash caused by the same truck and in which five people had to be taken to a nearby hospital.
The perpetrator fled the scene of the accident on foot, but managed to seize another truck and caused a third accident by driving in the wrong direction. For this reason, an ambulance from the Arlington County Fire Department has come to the scene and after the doctors got off, the now detainee has taken the opportunity to steal it.
With this new vehicle, a chase began in which it rammed a police car and collided with another car, but in the end it was arrested and the person responsible was transported to a nearby hospital for a medical check-up.
The detainee has been charged by the federal and local police and the state police charges are still pending.
