Social networks have been agitated with the circulation of an image that supposedly reveals Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 5 Slim. This image seems to be part of a new promotional video that they would be preparing for the official announcement of the console.
According to who uploaded the image On twitter, the model corresponding to this version would be the “CFI-2016”.
In addition, the image in question is remarkably similar to the description previously provided on social networks by the developer BwE. According to BwE, this new edition will not be as compact as expected from a “Slim” versionand will present distinctive features such as one opening for a cooler on the sides, two USB-C ports on the front and the inclusion of the iconic PlayStation joystick symbols (triangle, circle, X and square) drawn on the plastic.
Although there are notable differences between the PlayStation 5 Slim and its predecessor, it is not a radical change. However, the quality of the leaked image, captured from a video not yet available, it raises doubts about its authenticity and whether this version will really be the one that will reach the public in the future.
It is important to highlight that Sony has yet to officially confirm production of a “Slim” or “Pro” version of the PS5, despite the numerous rumors and leaks that have surfaced. The company has been completely silent regarding the possible manufacture of new hardware, and there is no official announcement scheduled on the near horizon. It’s even been announced that Sony won’t be participating in Gamescom 2023, which suggests we shouldn’t expect any revelations anytime soon.
