“In the last decade, their remuneration has been severely undermined by the rise of the streaming ecosystem. Furthermore, artificial intelligence poses an existential threat to the creative professions,” a SAG-AFTRA statement said after negotiations collapsed. The Alliance of Film and Television Producers (AMPTP) said it was disappointed” by the end of the negotiations. “It is a decision of the (actors) union, not ours,” the group said in a statement early Thursday.
