Actress Isabelle Huppert presides over jury at the Venice Film Festival

ROMA.- French actress Isabelle Huppert chair the jury in charge of awarding the prestigious Golden Lion for Best Film in ’81 Venice Film Festivalwhich will be held from August 28 to September 7, the Mostra announced today -May 8-.

“A long and wonderful history links me to the Venice Film Festival, becoming a privileged spectator is an honor,” said the 71-year-old actress, winner of two female acting awards at this event, in a festival statement.

In addition to the Golden Lion, the jury that he will preside over will have the task of awarding on September 7 the Jury Prize for Best Director, the prizes for Best Male and Female Performance, and the prize for Best Screenplay.

Recognized with numerous awards, Huppert has a long career behind her under the orders of directors such as Claude Chabrol, Michael Haneke, Hong Sang-soo, among others.
