Mexico City.- The saxophonist Elena Ríos was part of the guests of Alejandro Sanz’s first tour kick-off concert last Thursday, which she thanked because it means making visible the problem of femicide violence in Mexico.

“Thank you @AlejandroSanz and @Escribajista for inviting me to play ‘Cuando Nadie Me Ve’ and through music to make visible femicidal violence and the CORRUPT #Judicial System in #Mexico.

“We women are burned with acid and other chemical substances. #NoMásAcid #QueSeaLey,” she wrote on her official Twitter account.

On Thursday night at the National Auditorium, the first concert was held, in which one of the emotional moments was when the bassist Alonso Arreola and the saxophonist Elena Ríos appeared on stage to interpret the aforementioned theme.

The people were moved and Sanz was also moved when he sang in front of Ríos, while she played moved to tears and finally everyone gave her a shower of applause.

“Alejandro, thank you very much for joining this search for justice that is not only for Male, but is for all the women of this country,” said the Oaxacan artist.

María Elena Ríos is a survivor of an acid attack, which occurred in September 2019, since then she has been an activist in defense of women who experience gender violence in Mexico.
