Aliens: Dark Descent promises us a “whole new race of xenomorphs”. What is certain is that the bestiary of enemies will be well loaded. Apart from the dreadful critters of HR Giger, the disturbing synthetics will return to violate Asimov’s laws in peace, while a kind of electro-mechanical zombie is well put forward by Focus. No doubt that the mysteries of the scenario will revolve around its existence. The storyline will take us to the planet Lethe, where a strange cargo of illegal aliens has (obviously) ended up in the wild. It will be necessary to perform a dark descent to find out who wanted to exfiltrate from the man-eater in tsum-tsum. (Spoilers: Probably Weyland-Yutani, again.)

To infinity (permadeath permitting)

Aliens: Dark Descent feeds the honorable ambition to open up tactics to neophytes of the genre with adequate controls on the keyboard as well as on the joystick. All our squads of Marines will play as one man (or woman): with each order given, the appropriate soldier will react to the quarter turn. All the difficulty will therefore lie in strategic planning and our ability to improvise. Especially since, on Lethe, any injury can become fatal… Physical and mental health must be preserved so as not to end up in an incubator at chestburster.

Released June 20 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch. Any pre-order of Aliens: Dark Descent will receive the Lethe Recon Pack as a bonus. We would like to tell you what it is, but Focus has not yet wanted to specify it.
