MIAMI.- After two years without going on stage, the Spanish singera Amaia Montero surprised his fans by joining the Colombian performer on stage Karol Gduring his concert at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid, on the penultimate date of their tour Maana Be Beautiful.
Amaia, who has distanced herself from music and in recent years has focused on her health, was invited by La Bichota to sing the popular song together Rosas, single that is part of La Oreja de Van Gogh’s third album, What I told you while you were pretending to be asleep.
The singer, who left the band in 2007 to launch her solo career, was cheered by around 60,000 people when she came on stage.
After concluding her presentation, she thanked Karol G for the invitation.
“At such an important and impactful moment, after so much time without setting foot on a stage and, above all, after so much time thinking that I would never set foot on a stage again, that’s why it’s an incredible day for me, and it was with Karol. I will keep this moment in my heart and in my soul,” said Montero, who wore a blue-white dress.
During the minutes of their participation, Montero and Karol G shared a strong hug.
Amaia’s Health
In 2022, Amaia Montero worried her followers by sharing a photograph in which she looked in poor physical condition, along with a cryptic message that said: “If hope is the last thing to die and I haven’t lost it yet, what good is life to me?” However, she deleted the content hours later.
A few days later, her sister Idoia issued a brief statement saying that Amaia was going through a difficult time. She added that the artist was affected by the criticism made about her appearance in a video she posted and that her father’s death is still a difficult fact to overcome.
Later, the magazine HELLO! revealed that Amaia had been hospitalized due to severe stress and anxiety due to the preparations for her new album, in a clinic in Navarra.
Since then, the singer has been away from social media and her appearances have not been many.
However, in November 2023, in San Sebastian, Manolo Garcia sang the hit Clay birds, when he saw her in the audience and approached her to sing the piece together.
Recently, Amaia also sent a message to her sister, who appeared at the casting of the MasterChef program.
“Failure is doing nothing,” dear sister, and I add that true success is trying again and again and not giving up. No one knows this like you, we know it well.
