Just over a month ago, Amazon launched a venture that allows us to subscribe to selected TV channels. Now it is followed by the Swedish premiere of the Prime Video Store, which, like SF Anytime or Google Play Movies, offers films for both sale and rental.

– We are pleased to be able to offer an even greater range of entertainment to our customers with the launch of the Prime Video Store in Sweden, which includes rental and purchase films as well as channel subscriptions, says Martin Backlund, who is responsible for Prime Video in the Nordics.

He continues:

– The Prime Video Store adds to the already large selection available through Prime Video, so whether you’re looking for sports, dramas, comedies or documentaries, we make sure to bring together everything our customers want in one entertainment destination.

Like the rest of the range in Prime Video, you need to be a Prime member to be able to buy or rent movies from Amazon. Until May 31, there is a premiere offer where you can rent the films for ten kroner each.
