The city of Florida has many reasons to celebrate and the most recent one involved great luminaries from different events such as Marcello Hernández, Emilio Estefan, Jorge Mas, among others.
Hernández, the youngest and only Latino member of the television show Saturday Night Live, received honors at a party held by Amarant Bank, as part of creating connections with the Hispanic community.
The event, held at La Suite Amerant, included renowned figures in the fields of art, music, sports and bank executives.
Marcello celebrated alongside Emilio Estefan, his legendary mentor; Lenny Carter, founder of the Only in Dade website; and several senior Amerant executives.
The idea of Amerant Bank, in addition to the VIP cocktail, was to celebrate the recent title of the Florida Panthers in the NHL, a team which is sponsored by the bank.
The bank then set its sights on a championship. For the past two years, Amerant Bank has been the naming rights sponsor for the space where the Florida Panthers play, called Amerant Bank Arena.
The team had not won a Stanley Cup championship trophy in its 31-year history. A thrilling Game 7 victory against the Edmonton Oilers came this week before a sold-out home crowd.
