Publisher Kwalee and developer Digital Mind Games have announced The Spirit of the Samuraia peculiar two-dimensional metroidvania that has a sinister art direction and some animations that seems to use the technique of stop motion. The title does not yet have a specific release date, but its creators have revealed that it will reach PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S and computers through Steam and the Epic Games Store. This is his first trailer:
“Assume the role of Takeshi, a Japanese samurai who has to protect his village from the attack of an Oni who tries to conquer the land with his army of the undead. Fight against his army of tengu, undead and the gruesome Jorogumoall of them inspired by Japanese mythology, in a cinematographic adventure stop motion unique and brutal”, reads its synopsis.
