Nevertheless, many consumers are thinking about alternatives to oil heating after. These – such as heat pumps – are independent of the development of fuel prices. In addition, the necessary electricity can be produced at least partially by a solar system. The term “autonomous” is becoming more and more important.

From the State subsidized the replacement of an oil heating system in 2023 will also be subsidized – sometimes it’s not about little money. A subsidy of up to 40 percent is possible. consumers with an old oil heating benefit from double funding. On the one hand there is the basic subsidy – for example for the heat pump. On the other hand, the federal funding for efficient buildings (BEG) provides for a “heating exchange bonus”. The heating exchange bonus is ten percentage points and is based on the basic funding credited. Anyone who chooses a heat pump as an alternative to oil heating, for example, gets a total of 40 percent funding with the basic subsidy (25 percent) and a special subsidy for heat pumps (heat pump bonus of 5 percent). Important to note: The heating exchange bonus is only granted in combination with a basic subsidy for a regenerative heat generator. If you trade in your old oil heater for a new one, you get nothing. In the fifth and final step, the subsidy including the heat exchange bonus is paid out. BAFA also issues a notice of determination for the respective funding – this is sent by post and should be kept.
