Clint Eastwood doesn’t seem to be thinking about retirement just yet. In the courthouse thriller “Juror No. 2” he wants to direct and gets several big Hollywood stars in front of the camera.

Los Angeles – Hollywood veteran Clint Eastwood (92) wants to start with the court thriller “Juror No. 2” bring his 40th directorial work to the screen. He chose the British Nicholas Hoult (33, “The Favorite”, “Mad Max: Fury Road”) and the Australian Toni Collette (50, “Knives Out”, “Little Miss Sunshine”) as the leading actor, the US industry journals reported Variety and Hollywood Reporters.

“Judge No. 2” revolves around a juror (Hoult) at a murder trial who realizes he is likely responsible for the murder. He must decide whether to turn himself in or convict an innocent man. Collette is set to play a prosecutor. Filming is scheduled to start in June. Eastwood, who will then be 93, is once again working with his favorite studio, Warner Bros.

The four-time Academy Award winner (“Unforgiven”, “Million Dollar Baby”) most recently directed “Cry Macho” (2021) and “Richard Jewell” (2020). In “Cry Macho,” he also played the lead role of a former rodeo rider tasked with bringing a boy back to Texas from Mexico. dpa
