The first Potsdamer born in 2023 was born 21 minutes after midnight in St. Josefs Hospital. Lukas Carl, 55 centimeters tall and 3.75 kilograms, is housed with his parents Jessica Dähnrich and Philipp Möbius in a family room in the maternity ward. Last year, 683 deliveries were made at St. Josef’s Hospital, 367 girls and 316 boys were born. That was slightly fewer births than in the previous year.

Jacinthe, 52 centimeters and 3.7 kilograms, was the first baby in the new year at Bergmann-Klinikum. She was born at 5:03 am. In the municipal clinic, a total of 1599 deliveries were carried out in 2022. Among them were 63 twin births and one triplet birth. 782 girls and 881 boys were born, once the gender was stated as diverse.
