Good news arrives for all the players of destiny 2and it is that after the problems that the game was presenting yesterday, it was finally back online after a long period of inactivity derived from a recently released problematic update, which Bungie confirmed today in a series of social publications on the matter.

Features like Destiny 2 Vendors and more have been re-enabled with the release of Hotfix 6.3.0.6 and hopefully the issues with Triumphs, Seals, and Catalysts have been resolved as well. Accompanying this hotfix is an account rollback that reverts player accounts to a previous state.

Issues related to Destiny 2 missing Triumphs, Seals, and Catalysts culminated Tuesday afternoon with Bungie announcing that the game would have to be taken offline and unplayable while the developers tried to figure things out. Those efforts took longer than players might have expected as the game remained offline throughout the night, but earlier today the Destiny 2 team announced that a fix had been found and would be implemented.

Now, as part of this update, Bungie also said that a rollback would be required that will affect player accounts in a number of ways.

These are the details of that reversal:

  • Destiny 2 Hotfix Rollback
  • Players will need to redo progress or completed missions between 8:20 and 11am PST.
  • Eververse purchases will need to be redone. Silver spent during that time will be restored.
  • Silver pack purchases will be added back to player accounts.

As some might have expected, things aren’t 100% functional even after this latest hotfix, but at least it’s playable one more time. Things like the Rumble Crucible mode and the evidence board feature are still encountering issues, and other minor issues have been highlighted by players within the game’s support forums, but the game itself is at least playable once again.

“We are aware that the Rumble Crucible mode is not currently available as a standalone playlist. We are also aware that the breadboard cannot be interacted with in the Enclave. These issues are currently being investigated. More information will be shared when is available”.

Destiny 2 is now back online with more fixes and updates coming at a later time as other issues are resolved.
