Tele-Leisure : Quit Koh Lanta first, after applying for 14 years, is this the worst sentence?

Celia: I was not at all prepared to go out first, I had hidden this possibility from my brain. It’s an outing without honor. After so much waiting I feel like I’ve only come close to my dream. There is a feeling of incomplete… or rather of barely begun. This is the worst score of the adventure. I couldn’t show what I was capable of despite my training.

You knew you were on an ejection seat when you got to the board. Was this elimination a surprise?

I was pretty sure it was true. But I did not expect to receive the votes against me from Tania and Benjamin. Nothing surprises me because I didn’t trust anyone. I tried this possibility to get away with those who also had a risk of being eliminated. They were the only ones who could rally around me. But that did not work.

Did you really resent Tania and Benjamin for this “betrayal”?

Tania was afraid to go out. But hey, I could also have put her name… I would have preferred her to tell me before the advice as many adventurers did. It was honest. I have values. Tania took my hand… But you don’t take someone’s hand before you stab them in the back. (laughs) I don’t blame him anymore but at that moment yes, it destroyed me. Today, everything is fine between us. We have since explained each other.

Why didn’t you ask her sacred fire (who would then have immunized her, editor’s note) to Nicholas?

I asked him but it didn’t show on the screen. But he wanted to play it for him.

When you leave, you let a few tears flow, evoking the disappointment to come from your sons. What happened?

They took me in their arms and told me to quickly turn the page, to look for another project. We didn’t talk about it anymore because they saw me very dilapidated! (laughs) But I’m a fighter… And why not a return to Koh Lanta one day to take my revenge?

Which adventurer impressed you the most?

I admire Emin who waited 20 years before being able to participate in Koh Lanta. Hat ! It’s hard all these failures…training and having to start over every year. I had 14 and he had six more. So respect.
