Chavez's only legacy is misery

BUENOS AIRES.- After the former president of Argentina Cristina Fernández asked Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro to hand over the electoral records in the name of “Chávez’s legacy,” a Venezuelan resident in Buenos Aires rejected such statements and questioned this “legacy.”

“Chávez’s only legacy is the dictatorship, socialism and the misery that oppresses us today,” he said during a peaceful demonstration in Venezuelans who are in the Argentine capital rejecting the events that are occurring in Venezuela after, without presenting the electoral records, the CNE – aligned with the regime – proclaimed Nicolás Maduro the winner of the elections with more than 52% of the votes, above the 43% of González Urrutia, who represents Machado, prevented from running for office due to political disqualification.

However, the Unitary Platform has data to prove fraud, which would leave González Urrutia as the president-elect with more than seven million votes.

Six countries, including the United States, have already recognized the opposition leader as President of Venezuela, and dozens of other nations have asked the CNE to publish the detailed minutes so that Maduro’s victory can be confirmed.

Argentina is one of the main countries to which the Venezuelan diaspora has escaped from the crisis generated in the country since Maduro came to power in 2013.

Cristina Fernandez Kirchner, former president of Argentina, asked this Saturday, August 3, for clarity on the results of the presidential elections in Venezuela that, according to the National Electoral Council (CNE) Nicolás Maduro won with 52% of the votes.

“There is a double system of computer support and a system of support for the minutes sent to the CNE. I ask you here, not only for the Venezuelan people, for the opposition or for democracy, but for the legacy of Hugo Chavez himself, to publish the minutes,” emphasized Fernandez.
