A China wants to be the first country to take a soil sample from the far side of the Moon and plans to launch a new mission – named Chang’e 6 – as early as next year.

The mission will be launched on a Long Mach rocket from the Wenchang region in May 2024, said one of those responsible for the deep space exploration department of the Chinese space agency, Wu Yanhua.

Even more, says the Space.com website Wu Yanhua said that the Chinese space agency plans to launch new space missions in 2026 and 2028.
