The fourth edition of the Coffee Fest Bogotá 2023 ended successfully. The event had more than 5,000 attendees including fans, businessmen, marketers and exporters of good coffee, who had the opportunity to meet more than 50 Colombian specialty brands, representing the coffee regions of the country.

The event was held within the framework of the First Coffee Week in Colombia, an initiative that seeks to amplify the recognition of this emblematic drink throughout the country and honor the good work of Colombian coffee growers.

The sale of coffee equipment for shops, hotels and restaurants was highlighted, which reflects that the intention of consumers and businessmen is keep alive the tradition of this drink that needs to start having more moments in the country to drink a cup of good coffee and generate internal consumption of quality coffee.

This is how the Coffee Fest was carried out

During the festival, various coffee experiences, such as talks and conversations, tasting of coffees from around the world, the equipment room for hotels, restaurants and coffee shops, as well as the filtered coffee roundabout and the III National Latte Art Championship, which was won by Cristian Andrés Pérez.

For us, the Coffee Fest was a very important space to develop the Colombian coffee culture. That all people could live a unique cup experience. In my experience as an entrepreneur of Café Devoción, dedicated to the manufacture, commercialization and distribution of specialty coffee, it was the opportunity to publicize my product nationally and internationally through the consumers who visited us”, Andrés Grazt, Manager, said with emotion. Lucia Londoño, executive director of Coffee Fest, who has been marketing and roasting specialty coffees for more than 15 years, said that this “very satisfied with the extraordinary quality of both the exhibitors and their coffees as well as the profile of the visitors who have found during these three days of the event the perfect place to discover, taste and delight in the products offered by the Colombian diversity. It was a stage to meet new specialty coffee brands and new suppliers for their establishments as well as to do business”.

For his part, the president of the National Federation of Coffee Growers, Germán Bahamon, said that “It is important that we begin to captivate the younger generations and that they understand that coffee is not something for parents and grandparents. We must encourage consumption and this type of event is important to achieve spaces for connection with audiences that we need to captivate”, acknowledged Bahamón.

The history of Coffee Fest

Coffee Fest was designed by Lucía Londoño Jaramillo, a descendant of coffee families for several generations, to connect coffee growers with those who are passionate about the world of coffee. Inspired by similar events held in the great capitals of the world, Coffee Fest is an initiative that aims to create a channel for the dissemination of coffee culture in an economically sustainable spacewhere both consumers and producers and marketers can connect for the benefit of the production chain and for the enjoyment of visitors.
