Colombian Juliana sails into the deep in Mar adentro

MIAMI.- The singer-songwriter and actress Colombian Juliana, winner of the 2021 Latin Grammy for Best New artisttakes listeners on a coastal journey with the release of their third album, Out to sea. An album that combines the performer’s musical skill with a social and cultural message.

Deep sea “It represents a milestone in Juliana’s career, as it is an album entirely written by the artist together with her great friends and colleagues: Daniela Cabrera and Legreti. The inspiration for this production arose at the beginning of the year on the island of San Andrés, where the Colombian worked on her first book of the same name, turning music into the soundtrack of her literary work,” the production detailed in a statement.

This project not only showcases Juliana’s musical versatility in addressing diverse Latin and Colombian rhythms, but also sheds light on the social and cultural reality of the island and its inhabitants.

“Mar adentro is a testament to Juliana’s deep connection to this place and her desire to share her story through music,” the artist’s team said.

The creation of this album required more than a year of dedication, becoming – until now – the most relevant and fundamental project in the Colombian’s career to date.

The album’s release was simultaneous with the premiere of the official music video for the title track, Deep sea.

About the Colombian artist

Born in Bogotá, the Colombian performer has excelled as a composer, singer and actress. Winner of the Latin Grammy in 2021 and with more than 10 years of experience participating in productions for Disney+, Netflix, Caracol, RON and musical theater, Juliana is positioning herself as the benchmark for comprehensive independent artists in Latin America.

Recently the magazine Rolling Stone the selection for the list of the 25 artists of the future. In June he participated in the televised event Latin women in music, from Billboard, where she sang at the tribute to Gloria Estefan.

In addition, she collaborated with Grupo Niche, becoming the first woman to sing with the legendary group.
