In November 2022, version 6.0 of the Controller for HomeKit app was released. Another function update to version 6.1 follows.

Controller for HomeKit is software for iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch and the Mac with Apple processor, which I personally see more in users who are advanced in terms of their Smart Home with Apple HomeKit and do more than the classic switching of lights and the like. Of course, this also allows Controller for HomeKit, but also more. Among other things, version 6.0 brought the native option to receive notifications, for example, if the bathroom window was left open for 30 minutes.

With the update that has since been released, the app can send notifications as a critical update, so it “gets through” even when the smartphone is in do not disturb mode. It is now also possible to manage the Matter codes in addition to the HomeKit codes. The lifetime license of the app costs 79.99 euros, the annual subscription is 29.99 euros.
