Cuban truck driver dies in US traffic accident

A Cuban identified as Osvaldo Perdomo died in a traffic accident in the United States, where he was working as a street vendor.

Cuban activist Yenney Caballero reported on her Facebook page that the man had a accident in the trailer he was driving, without offering further details.

However, in an emotional post, he acknowledged the work of this Cuban in favor of animals.

She said that she always gave her support every time she published a case of animal abandonment or abuse. “My sister told me, count on me, in every complicated case she extended her hand to do her bit for the animals in need,” she explained.

In February a 55-year-old Cuban truck driver was identified in a fatal accident traffic accident in which a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) officer also died.

In 2023, a Cuban truck driver was arrested by Texas police on charges of involuntary manslaughter in connection with a traffic accident that occurred last September, which cost one person his life.

Maikel Alpízar Espinosa, 44, of Houston, was arrested at his home on Nov. 2 and charged with being responsible for a crash on Sept. 22, 2023, on Highway 6 in Valley Mills, McLennan County, that resulted in the death of another driver, according to a statement from the Valley Mills Police Department.
