On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its release, the flagship disc of the discography of the French electro duo, separated for two years, will be the subject of a reissue, scheduled for May 12, 2023.

Two years to the day after their separation, Daft Punk are coming out of silence. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Random Access Memoriesthe French electro duo formed by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo has just announced a reissue of their flagship album for May 12th.

On Instagram, the global ambassadors of French Touch, specify that this reissue will be accompanied by 35 minutes of unreleased tracks, never released before, as well as a vinyl with a reworked cover. Pre-orders for the project are already available on the Daft Punk website.

First solo project

Released in 2013, Random Access Memories is Daft Punk’s fourth and final studio album. It features hits such as the famous Get Luckyin collaboration with Pharrell Williams or Instant Crush with Julian Casablancas of The Strokes.

To compose this project, the duo appealed at the time to many musicians such as Nile Rodgers and Giorgio Moroder in order to create a record with seventies sounds. Crowned with success when it was released, Random Access Memories allows Daft Punk to win the Grammy Award for best album of the year in 2014.

In addition to the reissue of this disc, Thomas Bangalter announced at the beginning of January the release of his first solo project for the ballet Mythologies. This disc, whose release is scheduled for next April, was composed for the choreographer Angelin Preljocaj, presented at the Bordeaux Opera last summer.
