LOS ANGELES.- Deadpool & Wolverine is getting off to a great start in ticket office, breaking the rcord Thursday preview for a film R-rated (requiring viewing by those under 17 with a parent or guardian).
The comic book film sold an estimated $38.5 million in tickets in advance screenings Thursday, Disney said Friday.
The previous R-rated record holder was Deadpool 2released by Fox’s 20th Century Studios in May 2018. That film generated $18.6 million by Thursday and earned $125.5 million in its opening weekend.
The figures of Deadpool & Wolverine They look more like those of Star Wars: The Rise of the Skywalker (40 million dollars) and Avengers: Infinity War ($39 million) than the two previous films of Deadpool.

However, to get into the top 10 openings of all time, Deadpool & “Wolverine should greatly outperform and earn at least $191.3, or enough to leave Avengers: Age of Ultron in eleventh place.
