The Attorney General of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) reported that it opened an investigation folder for the death of a minor under 13 years of age, registered in an educational establishment in the municipality of Zumpango.
On an information card, the FGJEM explained that the events occurred in the secondary Lazaro Cardenas del Riolocated in Calle Prolongación Buenavista, Fraccionamiento Sauces.
“This Prosecutor’s Office carries out various investigative acts with a gender perspective and full respect for the rights of children, in order to determine the precise circumstances under which the minor lost her life,” said the state Public Ministry.
According to what was reported, in addition to collecting evidence, the staff of the Edomex Prosecutor’s Office has conducted interviews with campus personnel, “in order to clarify the facts and proceed in accordance with the law,” while maintaining permanent communication with the relatives of the deceased minor, in coordination with the Executive Commission for Attention to Victims of the State of Mexico.
A video circulated on social networks in which the young woman’s relatives accused teachers and the high school principal of not showing their faces about what happened.
“Good afternoon, people, unfortunately my niece has just passed away, she has just been killed here at the 230 Lázaro Cárdenas del Río secondary school, here in the municipality of ZumpangoI ask you to share”, a woman is heard saying.
He added that “the director had just introduced himself, this happened at 8:30 in the morning. They marked my sister-in-law and told her that the girl had been drunk and that she had thrown herself from the second floor of the high school.”
“The teachers are hiding, they are not showing their faces, no teacher comes to see what happened, what happened. The director has just left and he says absolutely nothing, he does not say how the events happened, he says absolutely nothing, ”said the woman.
Just on March 16, it was reported that Norma Lizbeth Ramosa third-year student at secondary school No. 518 Annex to the Normal of Teotihuacanalso in the State of Mexico, died after a fight with one of her classmates who was bullying her.
According to the authorities, another student on the campus summoned Norma for a fight with blows before starting classes for the afternoon shift, for which the 14-year-old accepted, as she intended to end the bullying against her.
Images and videos circulated on social networks that showed a few seconds of the fight that was encouraged by other students.
After the fight, some people helped Norma wipe the blood off her face. The student stayed at home for weeks after the fight. At first glance, it seemed that the only damage she had received was the fracture of her nose.
However, and according to her relatives, at the beginning of March her state of health declined, because she began to feel nauseated and lost consciousness on multiple occasions until, finally, the minor fainted and did not wake up again.
Due to these facts, Azahara Aylin “N”, identified as Norma’s aggressor, was arrested and linked to the process and then transferred to the Quinta del Bosque Detention Center, where she was placed at the disposal of a control judge to define her legal situation. .
In accordance with local laws, the minor could spend up to five years in this center as a limit, since it does not allow the inhabitants of the Internment Center to be transferred to adult prisons, since minors who reach the age of majority inside of the facilities, they remain there until they complete their sentence.
