Rodrigo Zalazar will probably not return to Eintracht Frankfurt. The ‘Ruhr News’ report that the SGE shows no interest in further cooperation. With a buyback option, Frankfurt could order the midfielder back to the Main.

Eintracht would then have to pay four million euros to FC Schalke. The newcomer signed Zalazar last summer after a year on loan for 1.5 million euros and gave the right foot a contract until 2026.
The 23-year-old Uruguayan indicated back then that he did not want to return to Frankfurt: “There is a possibility, but I want to stay here as long as I can. My head is on Schalke – and so is my heart.” It would then have to be seen how much this commitment would be worth if they missed out on staying up in the league.
