Where is Evan N’Dicka playing next season? The fact is: the central defender’s contract with Eintracht Frankfurt is expiring. The Hessians have not yet completely written off an extension, but there is currently not much to indicate a longer stay on the Main. Only when N’Dicka finds no other top-class employer could a change of heart begin.
While rumors have been circulating in Spain recently that the Frenchman should already have an agreement with FC Barcelona, according to ‘Corriere dello Sport’ he remains one “Market Option” for the Italian runners-up Inter Milan. The Nerazzurri have to look around for new staff for their defense network – as of now, Milan Skriniar (27), Stefan De Vrij (31) and Francesco Acerbi are packing their bags in the summer.
Positionally, N’Dicka would be the logical replacement for the latter. Acerbi is Inter’s man for the left in coach Simone Inzaghi’s back three. The 34-year-old fills his role solidly, but is only on loan from league rivals Lazio Rome. On the other hand, the 23-year-old who was still in Frankfurt would be a long-term and free-of-charge solution.
