Epic!  Check out The Strokes and Regina Spektor playing together after 20 years

There is no doubt that from time to time, our favorite bands and artists give us completely unexpected moments that we can never overcome. Just like what we are about to tell you, because after 20 years with nothing at all, The Strokes and Regina Spektor reunited on stage and the moment is a gem.

For those of you who have no idea what’s going on here, here’s some context. It turns out that In the now distant 2004, the group and the singer released the song “Modern Girls and Old Fashion Men” together., which was the B-side of the “Reptilia” single. However, a year before the release of that single, The Strokes and Regina reunited to perform it live at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

The Strokes reunited with Regina Spektor after two decades

However, after two decades of working hand in hand, Regina Spektor and The Strokes surprised their fans by joining forces once again. It turns out that on August 19, Julian Casablancas and company performed at the Forest Hills stadium in New York, where they gave a concert full of classics and a few rarities.

To give you an idea, in this show, The Strokes dusted off songs like “15 Minutes” (which they hadn’t played since 2006) and even made their debut for this presentation, songs the size of “Alone, Together” or “Why Are Sundays So Depressing ”. However, with all these songs, they also revived Modern Girls and Old Fashion Men live and in full color with Regina Spektor.

In accordance with Consequence of Sound, Julian Casablancas jokingly said that “It only took 20 years, but look who showed up (referring to Regina)”while Spektor approached the microphone and replied to The Strokes frontman: “They love you, child.. My favorite band in my favorite city!”

Before starting off, the lead singer of The Strokes told the audience that “everyone knows the song”, inviting them to sing together. And so they did, wellBoth the band and Regina Spektor and the attendees gave us a melancholic and nostalgic moment, which reminds us of that time where we were happy and not. We knew it.
