Although they share many thoughts, and even promote similar initiatives, in the middle of the electoral campaign the liberal deputy José Luis Espert differs from Javier Milei with the intention of joining the Together for Change alliance.
For this reason, in C5N, he rejected the plan to dollarize the economy promoted by Milei, warning that this “would be a leap into the void.”
“In Economy, let’s not innovate anymore. Enough of jumping into the void, people are very hurt. Let’s copy what happens in the world”, indicated the deputy of Avanza Libertad, in an interview with Mauro Federico, in the program Minuto Final.
“The economic system that we have breaks any monetary system: dollarization, convertibility, free weight, the austral… First you have to change the system. Once you change the system and achieve international inflation, that day if you want you can dollarize. But If you changed the system you no longer have inflation, why dollarize?” he asked.
On the other hand, the Liberal deputy acknowledged that negotiations continue with the leaders of Together for Change to strengthen the possibility of a new opposition space.
“Competition is healthy and uplifting,” Espert said.
When asked if he would agree to be Minister of the Economy under Horacio Rodríguez Larreta or Patricia Bullrich, he replied: “Only if we fully agree and he has all the political power to make the reforms that Argentina requires. To warm up the bank, no.”
