A Microsoft’s bet on OpenAI has represented an increased integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Edge but, despite this, it seems that this internet browser from the technological giant continues to fall short of what is desired in terms of internet user adoption.

According to the most recent data shared by the StatCounter website As of April 2023, Microsoft’s Edge is the third most used browser with a 10.95% market share. In fact, Microsoft Edge seems to have been overtaken by Apple’s Safari, which currently has a ‘slice’ of 11.89%.

As for the first place, it is unsurprisingly occupied by Google Chrome, which holds 66.22% of the Internet browser market.

The integration of AI in Edge has started to show interest among users, but for now, it is clear that Microsoft has yet to verify the real effects of the investment made in OpenAI.
