Mexico City.- To celebrate their 40 years of marriage, Mónica (Julieta Ortiz) and Uriel (Guillermo Quintanilla) organize a weekend getaway to the forest, where their guests will be Trapped as a Family.

This film by Alonso Íñiguez, which is already on VIX+, shows the conflicts that three couples are going through: the supposedly perfect marriage but full of dissatisfaction, two women who want different paths and an insecure mature woman who maintains an attractive young man.

Diana Bovio, who plays Carolina, the daughter of the couple, is experiencing a crisis at the same time when her girlfriend Sofía, played by Ana Sofía Gatica, has doubts about the future of their own relationship.

“I love the proposal, from the script it seemed attractive to me, because it shows that the couple’s problems do not lie in their sexual preference, they are not tormented or alien people, as if lesbians or bisexuals do not have the right to love and be happy in their relation.

“Deep down, it’s seeing how the lack of communication can affect all relationships, mother and daughter, best friend and friend. For me, that’s what life is about, sometimes it’s hard to see this in movies of a more commercial nature,” he shared. Kitten in virtual interview.

Bovio, for his part, stressed that these types of relationships are currently being experienced, so there is no need to stigmatize anything and accept the changes.

“Suddenly we think that the public is not ready for these stories, but it is what we are experiencing, it is the world, it is changing and there are options, it is time to reflect life well in the cinema, raise awareness and see ourselves on the screen”, said the also actress of Mirreyes vs. Godinez.

When Carolina asks Sofía to marry her, she doubts and adds fuel to the fire in a family where not everything is what it seems and where confinement will make the truth explode and come to light.

“There is a great similarity (with the time of confinement), this family is isolated, in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, they are not watching TV, they do not have these distractions from the world that is going so fast, when we are left alone we do not there is another, it is you and me, it is a point in the film that shows us how far we are from the others,” Bovio reiterated.

“The fact that they all see themselves in the same space, that they try to appear to be okay as a family, is complicated. Being with my mother implies tension, going with my mother-in-law implies another tension, it is untenable to pretend all the time, so It’s clear that this will explode at some point,” added Gatica, known for stories like Control Z.

The entanglements and conflicts will break out, not without some comedy in between, except perhaps in the character of Bovio, whose career has been based precisely on that genre. So it took him a bit to get into the drama.

“It was like breathing another air, I love comedy, I was born surrounded by it, but this is an important step. Carolina does not have a specific comedy, I wanted to jump to the other side, but you also learn, you must give yourself the opportunity to change your mind direction, it can be something very positive that will only make you grow”, he acknowledged.

dad approved

Daughter of former soccer player Carlos Hermosillo, Ana Sofía is grateful to have the support of her parents in this career.

“My dad supports me, he was a footballer, my career is similar, it is a leap into the void, with rigor and discipline. He has accompanied me a lot in my career, he is confronted with the characters I play, there is nothing more beautiful than you support your parents”, confessed the actress.
