Florida Panthers win the NHL Stanley Cup

MIAMI-. Los Florida Panthers They defeated the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 on Monday and became champions for the first time of the Stanley Cup, the final of the North American Ice Hockey League (NHL), for an overall 4-3 in the series.

The American team thus ruined the comeback of the Oilers, who had forced the seventh and final game of the tie after losing the first three.

The painful fall of the Edmonton team, which would have been the second to win the trophy after losing 3-0, extends Canada’s title drought to 31 years.

Supported by their fans, Carter Verhaeghe and Sam Reinhart scored the winning goals for the Panthers, who had succumbed in the Stanley Cup a year ago against the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
