He now has 5 games left to equal or exceed Jimmy Greaves’ record of 41 goals in the English Premier League, with Chelsea in 1960-1961 (over a season of 42 games).
In the same evening, against West Ham, Manchester City took the opportunity to score their 1000th goal since the arrival on their bench of Pep Guardiola, in 2016. A European record over this period, with in particular more than 200 goals more than n any other Premier League club (Liverpool have scored 797).
