The Government develops for the second consecutive day the strategy of the National Collection Plan in Soyapango; this action is immediately activated in specific cases of garbage accumulation.
“Different points have been intervened. We were in Los Santo, an important collection was also made in Las Margaritas 2, 3, and 4, and in Ciudad Credisa, Amatepec, we have made important collections, the operation has also been carried out in the urban area,” said the director of Protection Civil, Luis Alonso Amaya.
The official reiterated that the purpose of the strategy is to take care of the population’s health, since the accumulated solid waste represents a risk. The teams from the different institutions that make up the National Civil Protection System are scattered throughout the municipality of Soyapango. The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) has mobilized the machinery for the transfer of solid waste.
“There have been more than 300 tons that were collected yesterday, that says a lot about the work we are doing as the National Civil Protection System,” Amaya reported.
On the other hand, the director of the Fire Department, Baltazar Solano, stressed that this Government works to guarantee not only social security but also health security.
“We join the articulated work with the objective of executing the Clean Municipalities strategy, we have done it in other municipalities, demonstrating that as a Government we are present to solve the needs of the population. As Firefighters we join without neglecting other attentions since we have sufficient resources, ”said Solano.
More than 1,000 people from different institutions participate in this action, the Government’s priority continues to be to protect the health and life of Salvadorans. The commitment of all the institutions is that the streets and residential areas of the municipality are free of garbage, avoiding sources of infection that affect Salvadoran families.
