The French Institute of Algeria has just published a new call for applications for the 5th edition of scholarships called “France Excellence IFA”. Indeed, for the 2023/2024 academic year, the French Institute of Algeria is offering twenty scholarships to accommodate Algerian students in higher education establishments in France.

Thanks to this program, the Algerian student will receive a scholarship of 860 euros per month, for a period of 12 months. This amount will allow the candidate to enroll in a Master 2 or pursue studies in the field of the arts, in particular within the framework of the Campus Art. Winners of this scholarship program will also enjoy a number of benefits, including:

  • Free visa and consular fees;
  • A return trip between Algeria and France covered:
  • Health and civil liability insurance coverage;
  • Registration fees relating to the preparation of a national diploma, in particular in most public establishments, free.

France Excellence IFA scholarships: eligibility criteria

The France Excellence IFA program concerns several fields of study. Namely, the artistic sectors, the management of cultural projects, architecture, French language, archeology and art history, innovation, but also AI and digital professions.

In addition, to benefit from one of these scholarships, candidates must meet a certain number of eligibility criteria. This call for applications concerns Algerian students or residents in Algeria who have completed a France Algeria campus process to apply for the 2023/24 academic year.

Also concerned by this scholarship program are Algerian students who have not already benefited from a scholarship during the year 2022/23. On the other hand, these candidates must be currently studying in Algeria or having obtained their diplomas after 2020.

How to apply for the France Excellence IFA program?

The French Institute of Algeria has set May 14, 2023 as the deadline for submitting applications. In addition to a registration form (downloadable here), the application file must include a certain number of documents, namely:

  • The candidate’s passport;
  • A detailed motivation letter in a maximum of two pages;
  • Le Curriculum vitae du candidat;
  • A letter of acceptance in Master 2 or in the artistic sector;
  • The last diploma obtained by the candidate, associated with its translation into French;
  • The latest transcripts of the last four years, including their translations.

The IFA informs all applicants that incomplete files will not be accepted. However, the results will be notified at the end of May 2023.
