S7 children aged 2 to 14 died with their mother on the night of Sunday to Monday in the fire of their house in Charly-sur-Marne (Aisne, northern France), we learned from the police and firefighters.
The father of this blended family, seriously burned, was extracted from the house, located in the center of this town of 2,600 inhabitants, and transferred to hospital, added the gendarmerie and firefighters.
The children, five girls and two boys, and their parents were sleeping on the 2nd floor of this townhouse when the fire broke out, the gendarmerie said.
