Complaint through song They will not pass

French rap figures such as Fianso and Akhenaton denounce this political situation with direct and controversial allusions.

“Jordan t’es mort!” (“Jordan, you are dead!”) the singers shout in one of the choruses of the song, which lasts almost 10 minutes.

The work was launched on social media on Monday night, July 1. Its video clip mixes images of street protests, police violence, fights, robberies or fragments of political events.

With rhyming verses, the authors not only criticize the extreme right, but also allude to the Freemasons, whom they accuse of ruling the world, or to the Illuminati, an alleged secret sect often mentioned by conspiracy groups.

“On vote contre les porcs (We vote against the pigs),” another rapper says in the song.

“The moment is serious. When you realise that the first party of the young people is the RN… this is our way of protesting,” explained to AFP one of the promoters of the song, the artist and DJ Ramdane Touhami.

“I hope that the public prosecutor will take action against this abject injustice,” Marine Le Pen said in a message on the X network.

The motto They will not pass is the title of an anti-fascist song released during the siege of Madrid by General Francisco Franco’s rebel troops during the Spanish Civil War.
